Maryanne Garvin, Founder,
Master Pilates Teacher Trainer and
Instructor:
Maryanne has been involved in the
fitness and body work fields for over 16
years. She is a Certified
Pilates
Instructor, Master Teacher Trainer for the
Pilates Sports Center, Certified
Massage
Therapist, Indoor Cycling Instructor,
Certified in
Body Code's Body Key
and Pegasus equipment, and Practitioner of The Rolf
Method of Structural Integration.
Maryanne
completed her Level One Training in
Body’ Code’s Pegasus
Equipment-supporting a wide range of
rehabilitation and improved
biomechanics. Maryanne is the principal teacher for the Silverton School's Integrative Physical Education Program and has recently become certified in the russian art of Kettlebells through RKC. She is committed to helping her
clients and students achieve health,
vitality and optimal fitness. Her focus
has been on improving health through
identifying and correcting structural
imbalances. Maryanne
lives with her husband and son in the
beautiful community of Silverton,
Colorado and is the director of the
Silverton Movement Center. |

Lisa Diffey, Master
Pilates Teacher Trainer:
Lisa began her studies in the works of Joseph Pilates in 1997 as a way to
further her knowledge within the health
and fitness industry. She has studied
with many different master trainers and
most recently studied with The Pilates
Sports Center, receiving a certification
in Advanced Teacher Training and
Rehabilitation Protocol. She is
dedicated to her practice and continues
to pursue further education within her
field at every given opportunity. She
truly enjoys her profession and helping
her clients find a balance of the mind,
body and spirit. Lisa is also a
Licensed Massage Therapist and has
studied with many different yoga
masters. Owns and operates Infinity
Pilates in Palm Desert, CA.
Lisa is a guest instructor and teacher
at SMC, she adds inspiring and
compassionate insight into the Pilates
work. |

Chris Chambers,
American Tribal
Style Belly Dance
Instructor: Chris has been
studying American Tribal Style Belly
Dance (ATS) since 2001 and started
teaching under the director of Mountain
Gypsy Belly Dance Troupe, of which she
became a member that same year. Since
that time she has danced and taught
classes in Breckenridge, Colorado at the
local community college. Mountain Gypsy
Belly Dance Troupe performed at many
venues during this time specifically
Southridge Seafood Grill monthly. Chris
immediately felt a deep soulful
connection to this dance and has pursued
learning as much as she can through
various workshops with a variety of
Tribal Fusion dancers in Colorado. She
is currently teaching at the Silverton
Movement Center in Silverton, CO and
performing with the ATS troupe,
Marrakech, in Evergreen, CO. Chris lives
with her husband and twins
in this quaint mountain town.

Cassandra Roof,
Yoga Instructor:
I began teaching in 2006. Everyday
brings new opportunities to becoming
a better, well-balanced person- Yoga
enhances this for me. Practicing
Yoga is time spent sincerely in the
present, enjoying the connection
between mind, body and breath.
I am currently studying Anusara
Yoga. I enjoy this happy style of
Yoga, and strive to "lead with my
heart" everyday. I began practicing
Anusara Yoga in 2000, at the Yoga
Experience with Ulla Lundgren in
Flagstaff, AZ. I have completed a Level 1 Anusara Immersion, and have completed workshops in "yoga therapy" and "posture adjustments". I continue my studies with John Friend, Ulla Lundgren, Christy Burnette, Jamie Allison, and others. I am working towards my Anusara teachers certifcation, and am currently a teacher for the Silverton School's Integrative Physical Education Program. |

Tiesha Weller,
Pilates Mat
Instructor:
Tiesha teaches Pilates Mat classes
at SMC, educating people on core
strength with a focus on proper form,
body awareness and utilization of the
Pilates Principles. She is certified
through the Pilates Sports Center and
Certified in Body Code's Body Key equipment. Tiesha has been in the
bodywork profession for six years as a
certified massage therapist. She
utilizes a variety of modalities and
incorporates Pilates as a tool to
empower individuals to take charge of
their physical health. She has had a
life long passion for health and
fitness, and her classes reflect that
love. Tiesha has lived in the San Juan
Mountains for over 12 years, the past
six in Silverton. She is in love with
her husband, daughter and the outdoor
adventures that living in Silverton
provides.

Nicole
Bellman,
Indoor Cycling Instructor: Nicole has been a lifelong mountain
biking enthusiast, logging over 150
days a year on her bike in the San
Juan mountains. Nicole brings her
love of riding and fitness to her
classes, incorporating proper form,
training techniques, inspiration and
good fun! Nicole was born and
raised in Durango, Colorado and
moved to Silverton 15 years ago to
pursue backcountry skiing, mountain
biking and hiking. She is
passionate about maintaining health
and fitness all year round and
shares this love with her daughter. Nicole is a
certified instructor on Body Code's
Body Key equipment and RKC Kettlebells. |
